Ameen Badal was born in Chandpur district of Bangladesh. From childhood, he had a deep interest and passion for music. He started his musical journey at the “Chandpur Sangeet Niketan” during his school days. He completed his SSC from Nandalalpur Chamadia High School and HSC from Chandpur Government College.
Ameen Badal gained fame for his musical performances in various events during his school and college days. After successfully completing his HSC exams, he enrolled at Jahangirnagar University, where he pursued higher education in geography, obtaining a Master’s degree.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Ameen Badal was actively involved in charity. He also played crucial roles in several cultural organization in Bangladesh, and he was a founding member of the cultural organization “Uccharon Sangeetik Shongshad” at the university.
His love for classical music dates back to his early years. Ameen Badal received training in music from renowned personalities, including Niaz Mohammad Chowdhury. He continued to explore classical music, especially in the genres of Khayal, Thumri, and Ghazal, from maestros in the subcontinent.
Ameen Badal, with his profound passion for classical music, continued his musical journey even after his university life. He became a regular artist on Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television, earning recognition and special grades for his performances.
In his later years, Ameen Badal embarked on a new musical journey focused on presenting Ghazals. He sought guidance and collaboration with experts such as Javed Hossain, Urdu poet Shamim Zamanvi, poet Talib Kabir, and Kamal Hossain.
Ameen Badal, with the support of researchers and poets like Javed Hossain, Shamim Zamanvi, Talib Kabir, and Kamal Hossain, has contributed significantly to the complex aspects of Ghazal in Bangladesh. In 2008, he went to India for higher education and received training from eminent figures like Janab Jomiur Hossain Khan.
Throughout his career, Ameen Badal has maintained a collaborative approach with researchers and poets, contributing to the understanding and purity of Ghazals in Bangladesh. His dedication and expertise have earned him widespread recognition in the field of classical music.
